Speak clearly. Accent capitalized syllables as in: vic-TOR-ious. Pronounce „G" as in : GET, ans SH as in SHOOT.

In this advances state of the war, many a sensible Kraut would rather give himself up than continue fighting. There are situations where a word or two in HIS OWN LANGUAGE may convince him that he can safely surrender - and so stop shooting at you. A cornered German will sometimes listen to reason - if he can underständ.
Keep this and study the German phrases. Foxhole German may help you but remember not all Krauts are reasonable.
